Field Cleanup!

An important start to our season is getting out on the fields to make them ready for play.  Our main goal is to clear leaves, fill holes, trim branches, and rake the infield surfaces.  Please save a few hours for the league and bring your players to help maintain our fields. Choose the field that is closest or most convenient.

NOTE DATE CHANGE!

**April 22nd - 9-11am --changed from 23rd due to rain**

AA -Player Pitch Baseball Players

Tee Ball & Coach Pitch

NOTE: We have two cleanup dates depending on your players playing levels - mainly so that tee ball and coach pitch players could attend their indoor practice sessions.

Tools you should bring (if you have them):

Our Little Fenway Project at Penney Field

Our new field at Penney Field is going to be an awesome place for our baseball and softball players to play!

To complete the project, we need your help...

1) Donate & share with friends & family to help us meet our goals - Red Sox Jersey Raffle -enter for a chance to win an autographed Red Sox jersey - https://go.rallyup.com/gngrll

2) Donate your time to help us build -recruit a team of friends & players- it will be some hard labor and some moderate labor and some easier labor.  You can help - we'll be working 4/14 - 4/18 and there's bound to be a block of time that you'll be around for.  Here's the link to sign up for a shift: https://forms.gle/ABpKH4g5TdqEbQq38

Our baseball and softball players will hit it over the Green Monster for years to come!

All volunteers who donate time in-person will be listed on the Green Monster "Thank You" tribute

Please take the time to donate, share, and volunteer if you can.  Every little bit helps.  Someday your player will play at this park and you can take pride in having helped make their dreams a reality.

CPR Training

For all of our parents, coaches, volunteers, and players, the league is sponsoring a discounted CPR training class.  We are covering half of the $50 fee - making the course only $25 for anyone registered with the league.

Knowing CPR can help save a life and ensure a safe environment for our players and fans

The league is working on installing Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) devices to our league-owned fields.  These will help increase player and fan safety, but having trained users and CPR certified volunteers can make an important difference.  Please consider investing some of your time in becoming CPR certified.

Training will cover CPR, Heimlich maneuver, EPI pens and other medication, and AED devices.

Where: GNG Middle School Cafeteria

When: April 13 - 5:30 - 9:30pm (usually 3-4 hours - could end as early as 8:30)

Cost: $25
